"Perched high on a hilltop overlooking the Amalfi Coast sits Ravello, a medieval village full of winding cobblestone streets, fragrant gardens, and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Rich and interesting is the history of this villa which was roman noble Marquis de Cinque family's manor, a history which blends with Ravello's and the Amalfi Coast's. The structure, while preserving the elegant forms of a lordly mansion, in the years has undergone noteworthy redecorations which have fashioned its actual splendour. In all of the premises, halls, staircases and public areas it is still possible to admire the antique marble floors and in the rooms and the bathrooms hand painted Vietrese School majolica tiles. Visit the hotel website at http://www.villamaria.it/history-eng.aspx
The Restaurant: Restaurant Villa Maria
Enjoy stunning views, first class cuisine and excellent service at the Restaurant Villa Maria. Chefs utilize the surrounding gardens to prepare opulent meals, paired with local wine. ”In our kitchen we utilize mainly our biological garden products. In fact, Villa Maria is surrounded by wonderful terraced gardens where every morning our farmers harvest the biological products (fertilized with humus from near mountains sheep and goats' breeding) which can be savored in our restaurant.
